Energy Storage and Cybersecurity
Tuesday, April 1, 2025 @ 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM ET
Energy storage systems play a key role in the stability and reliability of modern power grids. As energy storage systems become more widespread and essential, protecting them against cyber threats has become increasingly important. In this webinar, industry experts provided an “Energy Storage and Cybersecurity 101” and overviewed the current landscape for cyber security considerations for energy storage systems.
This webinar featured presentations from Howard Gugel, Senior Vice President of Regulatory Oversight at the North American Electric Reliability Corporation (NERC), and Sai Ram Ganti from the Cyber Security Division at the Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI). Todd Olinsky-Paul, Senior Project Director at CESA, moderated the discussion.
This webinar is a presentation of the Energy Storage Technology Advancement Partnership (ESTAP). ESTAP is a federal-state funding and information sharing project that aims to accelerate the deployment of electrical energy storage technologies in the U.S. ESTAP is administered by the Clean Energy States Alliance.
